Often, as I read devotionals or Scripture in my mornings before the day begins, I glean a message for my spirit and growth. These thoughts are mine:
What are mercy’s enemies?
Pride. Arrogance. Selfishness? Maybe my own simple distraction—nothing horrid but being too busy to notice misery.
It’s easy to fall prey to any of those. Mercy is compassion for the miserable. It’s a valuable commodity in any era of life. I think most of us experienced a measure of misery recently.
How do we dispense mercy to others? Give grace. Grace and Mercy are companions. #mercy #grace #christianauthor
