Burnt Pans

How many frying pans have I burnt this past year? No matter how careful I am to check the burner indicator for which one is ON, it’s wrong. I blame the wacky diagram.

My hubby walked into our apartment entry. He paused with the door open and looked down. “You burnt another pan?” He chuckled.

“I forgot to throw away the evidence.” The pan sat on the cement next to the front door. “If I don’t set the pan outside to cool off, the fire alarm goes off. I don’t want to make time to shop for a new pan.” Sigh. An idea flashed across my mind.

Voila! No pan needed. I experimented with a cereal bowl for a breakfast recipe—See beneath the photos for egg white recipe. It takes longer to cook.

Microwave Mini Omelette

Total of 3 minutes, cooking and setting, with a 1200 Watt Microwave. Beat one large organic egg and set aside. I add basil or Italian seasoning before I beat it.

Prep meat if desired—ham, bacon, chicken. Use the amount you would like in any omelette you eat. Prep veggies—cooked cauliflower, broccoli, yams, red potatoes. (I often use spinach leaves if I don’t have any cooked veggies. I freeze the leaves in containers and add them frozen on top of the meat).

Check edges and loosen as it sets.

  • Melt butter 15 seconds @ 50%, or spray cereal bowl with Coconut spray
  • Add prepped cooked meat and veggies like above
